Warning: Dogs Falling Ill in Park
Several dogs in Tunbridge Wells have fallen ill from ingesting cannabis. The dogs were being walked in Grosvenor and Hilbert Parks. Symptoms include lethargy, shaking, and in severe cases, incoordination and bloodshot eyes.
For owners suspected cannabis ingestion, vets advise activated charcoal and contacting a vet. With several incidents reported, vets encourage continued vigilance by owners.
New Maths Tuition Centre Opening
A new maths tuition centre, Mathnasium, is set to open in Tunbridge Wells town centre. The centre will be at 76 Calverley Road. Mathnasium will cater to children aged 6-16, with around 80 students attending daily. The owners plan to operate a membership model.
Owner Mark Braithwaite chose the location for its proximity to local amenities. It is hoped that parents will explore nearby cafes and shops whilst their children attend classes.
New Family-Run Cafe Delights Locals
Cup 109, is a new coffee shop on Mount Pleasant Road. Run by the Cain-Renshaw family, the cafe has received glowing reviews. Customers appreciate the friendly service and cosy environment.

Mum Fights for Safer Road
Meena Malek is campaigning for lower speed limits on Broadwater Land, down to 20mph. Malek's son Archie, 12, suffered serious injuries in a road accident. A car hit Archie whilst on an e-scooter. He spent months recovering from brain injuries and fractures.
Meena has launched a petition to make the road safer, particularly for children, and prevent further accidents. Kent County Council will review the petition once submitted.
