⏰Climb The Clocktower: The Clocktower at Trinity is reopening for the summer, offering a unique chance to climb back through time. As you ascend its 118 steps, each level reveals part of Tunbridge Wells’ story – from its origins as the town’s first parish church to its transformation into the much-loved theatre it is today. At the top, you’ll be rewarded with panoramic views across the town. Prefer to stay on the ground? A new interactive kiosk in the Foyer lets you explore the tower anytime. Free to visit, with donations welcomed. Booking advised. Read more here.

⛵A New Mayor: Councillor David Osborne has been elected as the new Mayor of Tunbridge Wells, taking over from Nancy Warne at the Annual Meeting on the 21st May. Representing Culverden, David brings years of experience on council committees. This year, he’ll be raising funds for the Royal Tunbridge Wells Sea Cadets and Royal Marines Cadets (TS Brilliant), who are marking their 90th anniversary. Councillor Beverley Palmer has been named Deputy Mayor. Read more from the Council here.

🏎️Our Motoring Heritage: This summer, Tunbridge Wells will host the first Royal Tunbridge Wells Festival of Motoring. 130 years after Britain’s original motor show debuted in the town. Held on the 2nd to 3rd August at The Pantiles, the event will showcase over 20 iconic cars and motorcycles. Including a 1911 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost and a Bugatti Veyron. Organised by local experts Dylan Miles and Daniel Cogger, the festival celebrates both motoring history and the area's rich automotive scene. Expect grand prix legends, endurance racers, and a nod to Sir David Salomons’ original exhibition. Read more from Mary Harris here.

💎Jewellery Theft: Police have released a CCTV image following two burglaries in the Camden Park area. The incidents took place on Thursday 8th May between 10.30am and 11.45am. High-value gold jewellery, including rings, were reported stolen. The suspect, whose face is partially covered, is believed to have entered two residential properties. Officers urge anyone with information, CCTV, or dashcam footage to come forward. Contact Crimestoppers anonymously or call Kent Police’s appeals line quoting reference 46/76278/25. Read more from Kent Police here.

🛀New Spa at the Spa: The Spa Hotel has unveiled a £750,000 wellness suite, adding a hydro pool, cold plunge, hot spa, drench bucket, ice fountain, and relaxation room to its luxury offering. Open to select guests and premium members, the suite marks a major upgrade to the hotel’s health facilities. Managing director Anthony Scragg said it fills a long-standing gap in the town's wellness scene. The new space opened earlier this month at the historic hotel, which dates back to 1766.
